StaffPad customer support informs me that they experienced weird multi-touch results when StaffPad was on half of the screen and that it doesn’t work. But I would still like to see it happen. You can use other apps in slide over view, which is where you drag an iPhone-sized version of an app over top a full screen app for quick reference. Also, the pen is so poor at small handwriting strokes (compared to, say, a real pencil on paper), that you have to zoom in to about 200-250% normal size to accurately place notes on the staff. It's very cool - but I'd set aside 12-20 hours of frustratingly slow entry.
